Yarsaan music traces its origins to the earliest human chants known as “Hureh,” a pure vocal expression of human emotion, from joy and sorrow to love and bravery. The Tanbour, a sacred string instrument dating back over 5,000 years, serves as the main vehicle for this spiritual music, with rhythms and melodies passed down through generations.
Ali Akbar Moradi, a master of the Tanbour, has perfected his craft since childhood, mastering all 72 traditional maqams (modes) of Tanbour music. His soulful and unique style has earned him numerous awards and recognition across the world. Pejman Hadadi, one of Iran’s most innovative percussionists, brings his mastery of the Tombak and Daf to this performance, blending traditional rhythms with a fresh perspective.
